Professional Automotive Clay Bars – Surface Prep for Tint, PPF & Paint Correction
Our professional-grade automotive clay bars are essential surface-prep tools for window tinters, detailers, and film installers. Designed to safely remove bonded contaminants, these clay bars help create a smooth, deeply cleaned surface—critical for high-quality window film, PPF, vinyl wrap, graphics, and paint correction work.
Clay bars are commonly used to remove paint overspray and embedded contamination from glass and paint. In window tint applications, they are especially effective for prepping rear window defroster lines, removing debris trapped in microscopic surface gaps to help reduce the risk of “peanuts” during installation.
When used properly with a clay lubricant, the clay lifts contaminants from the surface without damaging it, leaving a noticeably smooth, clean finish. As the clay becomes dirty over time, it should be folded and reshaped frequently and used with care. Depending on surface condition, additional cleaning steps may be required to achieve a perfectly clean installation surface.

For best results, rewrap the clay bar before placing it back into its plastic container. Storing it directly in the container without wrapping may cause the clay to stick.
